On days when when you're bored to cook a very elaborate meal, my friend Jayanti recommends a very simple solution she calls 'chapati dosa'. Here is her recipe:
Mix one cup each of all the flours you have in your kitchen; rice, wheat, jowar, chana, bajri, nachni, etc.
Add salt, turmeric, jeera powder, red chili powder & dhania powder to the mixture and add water to get it to dosa batter consistency.
Pour two ladles of the batter on a non-stick tawa and spread evenly to make delicious chapati dosas.
Serve hot with chutney, ketchup or pickle.
Jayanti's tip - You can make a slightly different variant by adding finely chopped onions and tomatoes on top of the dosa.
